Can an individual from any Community report crime?

Yes, anybody can report crime





What kind of cases can be reported?

Any form of crimes that has to do violence against persons in the our society





Must the person reporting crime be related to the victim?

No, the person must not be necessarily be related to the victim.





Are pictures of the scene of crime/victim(s) needed?

All necessary evidence to assist the Agency to make an informed decisions of the case is required.  Privacy of the victim(s) will be respected such as medical reports, pictures of physical injuries, etc.  All information received will be handled in strict confidence.

What are some best practices for reporting Gender-Based Violence?

1. Report cases to the nearest Police Station or the Gender Unit of the Divisional Police Headquarters
2. Take the victim to the nearest government hospital or Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC)
3. If the victim is at risk, request a safe shelter with the relatives or call 08001001010





Will my identity be protected if/when I reported crime?

Your identity will be protected, and we will treat your case with the utmost confidentiality.
